The Stewardship program of the parish is based on the giving of Time, Talent and Treasure. This is realized by our many mission group activities in addition to our financial stewardship.

God First
Good stewardship is essential for effective discipleship. What are the fundamentals of good stewardship? 2 Corinthians provides us with some stewardship principles to help us grow in this vital spiritual discipline:
Responsibility– Every Christian has a duty of stewardship. “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give” – 2 Cor.9:7
Personal– Every Christian must make a personal decision about stewardship. “As he purposeth in his heart, so let him give.” 2 Cor.9:7
Attitude– Giving requires a positive attitude. “not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Cor.9:7
Proportionate– Christians will give in proportion to their income and possessions. “For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.” 2 Cor.8:12
Sacrifice– A Christian will give selflessly. “For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.” 2 Cor.8:3 “Remember this: whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” 2 Cor.9:6
Joyfully– A Christian steward is filled with joy because he or she has the privilege of giving .”For God loves a cheerful giver.”
Fill out the Skills and Interest Questionnaire if you wish to become a steward :
Am I giving myself first to the Lord?
We will all stand before the Lord Jesus Christ without anything that represents worldly security. On that day, all we’ll have is the treasure we’ve saved in heaven. Are you putting the Lord first in your life?
Am I responding to God’s grace by giving?– Is that the reason you give? Is that the factor that determines how much you give?
Is my giving selfless? Are you giving outside of your comfort zone, or are you just giving within the limits of what is safe and manageable and doesn’t truly limit how much money you may spend elsewhere?
Am I being genuine in my giving? Are you extending yourself without being pushed and prodded? What sort of congregation are you looking for? One who must constantly and unceasingly be coerced into giving, or one who cheerfully contributes rather than reluctantly or out of need. It needs to be inspired by and anchored in grace, thanksgiving, and generosity.
